Why did Rey not become a Sith?
Much the way that “Bret screwed Bret” at WWF Survivor Series in 1997, Palpatine screwed Palpatine. Rey didn't become a Sith Lord imbued with the soul of Palpatine because she didn't kill him, he ultimately killed himself.
Will Rey become a Sith in the new Star Wars movie? No, because the Sith were eradicated by Anakin Skywalker.
Even though Kylo Ren uses a red lightsaber, harnesses the dark side of the Force, and wears a cape, he is not a Sith. Because of that, he can never hold the title of Darth. Instead, he was just a chaotic mess of the dark side (until he eventually found his way back to the light).
Palpatine Saw Rey As A Tool, Not A Granddaughter
Kylo Ren idolized his grandfather Darth Vader, but Rey never saw Palpatine in this way, never even acknowledging her familial connection to The Emperor as anything beyond a genetic technicality. For his part, Palpatine didn't really think of Rey as family either.
In The Rise of Skywalker's novelization, we learn that Rey's father was a failed clone of Emperor Palpatine. He was initially created to be a vessel to house Palpatine and his Sith power.
By the end of The Rise of Skywalker, Rey had become the last known Jedi of the Skywalker Saga. With all that being said, Rey was not left as the last remaining Force-sensitive character.
She does not have a baby bump, her hand never goes to her stomach to indicate she's carrying a child, and there wasn't exactly any time for her to have conceived a child with anyone in the course of the film, including Kylo Ren/Ben Solo.
He transforms the Galactic Republic into the Empire and declares himself Emperor, using Machiavellian manipulation to invoke martial law. Palpatine rules the galaxy for over two decades before Vader betrays and kills him to save his son, Luke Skywalker.
One could theorize that he bore a child through some sort of space artificial insemination, or something closer to what we've seen in canon Star Wars material. In the canon comic Darth Vader No. 25, it is revealed that Palpatine somehow used the Force to manipulate midichlorions to impregnate Shmi Skywalker.
And then there was a third explanation, the one I thought I'd spotted in my second screening: Finn knew about Rey Palpatine. "You don't know what she's going through," Finn tells Poe after they crash-land the Falcon on Kef Bir, the planet with the horses and the Death Star wreckage. "Leia and I do."
Are Rey and Kylo related?
Despite being enemies, Rey and Kylo Ren share a connection called a 'Force dyad' and eventually become romantically involved with one another. Following Palpatine's final defeat and her own resurrection, Rey adopts the name Rey Skywalker to honor her mentors and their family legacy and renounce her lineage.
A crystal embodies the Jedi as the heart of the lightsaber, and pure kyber has no color until it's bonded to the Force user. This process likely resulted in Rey Skywalker's lightsaber being yellow.
Anakin Skywalker is the son of Shmi Skywalker, born without a father through the Force. He is the secret husband of Padmé Amidala, the father of Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa, the father-in-law of Han Solo, and the maternal grandfather of Ben Solo.
1 Darth Sidious
There has been no Sith, as powerful, meticulous, nor as evil as the Emperor himself, Darth Sidious. As previously mentioned, Sidious trained in the Dark Side by Darth Plagueis before Sidious killed Plagueis in his sleep, making Sidious a Sith Master.
Praven was a Sith pureblood male who served the reconstituted Sith Empire as a Sith Lord and later protected the Galactic Republic as a member of the Jedi Order.
Snoke Is Not a Sith Lord
But the fact that he's a bio-engineered being created by Palpatine explains why his training of Kylo Ren followed the Sith mold so closely, since all along Palpatine was trying to manipulate Ren.

In order to defeat the Emperor, Rey is forced to use all of the energy she has left, dying in the process. Fortunately for her, Ben survived being thrown into a chasm by the Emperor and can save her. To do so, he must sacrifice what life energy he has left to revive her.

Rey was born on Hyperkarn in 15 ABY during the rise of the New Republic. Her father, Dathan, was a bioengineered Strand-Cast cloned from the genetic template of Darth Sidious, the Sith Lord who ruled the Galactic Empire as Emperor Palpatine.
It wasn't until an Academy screening of “Rise of Skywalker” after the film's theatrical opening that Abrams said Finn wanted to tell Rey that he is Force sensitive.
Anakin informs Windu that Palpatine is Darth Sidious, the mastermind of the war. Telling Anakin to stay behind, Windu and three other Jedi Masters (Kit Fisto, Agen Kolar and Saesee Tiin) try to arrest Palpatine, but the Sith Lord easily cuts down Windu's companions and then duels him one-on-one.

Does Rey turn to the dark side?
So, did she? This is one of the questions that gets a very straightforward answer in the film because, no, Rey doesn't turn to the Dark Side in The Rise of Skywalker.
But Rey responded that she was all of the Jedi. Aided by the spirits of the Jedi who had come before her, she used both Luke and Leia's lightsabers to deflect Sidious's Force energies back at him, destroying the Sith Lord once and for all.
Yet despite her commitment to the Jedi Order and the light side of the Force, Rey felt the pull to the dark side due to her anger and the adversarial relationship she had with Ben Solo, a fallen Jedi whom she knew as the dark warrior Kylo Ren.
And yet, the final movie, The Rise of Skywalker, had the final word about who Rey really was. As she learned, she was in fact a descendent of Emperor Palpatine, who was her grandfather. Biologically speaking, then, Rey is 100 percent a Palpatine.
